VR update: Megan Thee Stallion on Quest and FitXR’s new tracks

Earlier this year, Megan Thee Stallion went on a virtual reality tour of the US in partnership with startup AmazeVR. That involved a performance filmed for VR-headset viewing, and showings in cinemas where fans could gather to watch.

The tour ran between April and July, but now ‘Enter Thee Hottiverse’ has been released through Mexperimental ‘App Lab’ section of Meta’s Oculus app store for fans to use at home. Fans can try one ‘stage’ for free, then unlock the whole concert for $6.99 during its launch period (then $9.99 thereafter).

In other music/VR news, fitness app FitXR is rolling out its latest music workout collections, and in the latest step on from its roots using production music, it has licensed tracks from some big names. FitXR’s ’80’s and 90’s Fav Collection’ includes music from the Backstreet Boys, Wham! and Billy Idol, while from 12 December its ‘Pop Hits Volume 1’ features Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Pink and Miley Cyrus. A second volume of the latter will come out in January with Megan Thee Stallion, DMX and Lil Nas X on board. A ‘Holiday Jams’ collection, also from 12 December, will focus on Christmas tracks.
